Bed wasn't great but room has AC.Food was awesome. Best fish and chips I've ever had, and I've had a lot.Very friendly and accommodating.

Comfortable, clean room and very friendly and helpful staff. A little unusual in that the front desk closes for the night and were still closed when we left in the morning. This wasnt a problem at all and we just left our key on the desk without issue. The restaurant has delicious food and although not inexpensive is worth the money. We stayed one night to catch the ferry to St. Pierre which was just a few minutes drive away and would definitely stay there again if/when we return to the area. I would bring a night mask though since a blinking light on the smoke detector was a little too distracting as I slept (but I am a terribly light sleeper and this would bother me more than most).

Nice place. Tried the pan fried cod fish. Its good.

I emailed the motel to request a reservation. Email is not monitored in the evening however did get a response in the morning indicating they had a room. Unfortunately in the 30 minutes it took me to respond a walk in took the room. When I spoke with the motel Bernice was quite apologetic and offered to attempt to locate another hotel as I was driving and she knew the area. Bernice was able to locate a fantastic room at a local B&B. We lost contact in a cellphone dead zone after she gave me the info for the accommodations; however a few hours later Bernice called to check into make sure I had located the B&B and made out ok. While I didnt stay at the Burin, the staff there is amazing and went way out of their way for me. I can only imagine the level of service an actual customer would receive.

Stopped for some supper here as it was recommended by a couple girls in fortune. The only good things about the two piece cod meal that I ordered was that the fish was hot and the chips were good. The batter on the fish was caked on and flavourless. Like it had been dipped in bread dough. My boyfriend's pan fried cod was cold. It took forever to get our food. There wasn't really anyone at all in the dining room to make sure guests were attended to. I had to KNOCK on the kitchen door to get someone to come out so I could tell them I hadn't gotten the gravy I had ordered. All in all, this was not a good experience and I do not recommend this place for an authentic Newfoundland supper.
